The Everest Foundation is the only non-profit organization with its core Mission Statement and purpose in the sphere of Graduate Medical Education. EF provides funding for innovative medical research opportunities and opening more residency training opportunities nationwide that serve the needs of communities that health systems serve. The Everest Foundation has pushed its campaigns for supporting teaching hospitals in vulnerable, urban and rural demographics of America. Many medical residency applicants are well trained out of medical school but lack the opportunities to practice their discipline due to the “Residency Bottleneck.” Only 29% of Medical School Graduates applying for residency have relevant research experience on their CV. That translates to seven out of ten applicants that do not have this important exposure while pursuing their post-graduate training, many due to lack of opportunity to conduct research. This inhibits medical research growth, innovation and well-rounded development for newly minted MDs.
We want to change that and be Part of the Cure! The Everest Foundation funds and provides research and training opportunities with some of the top Medical Schools and Teaching Hospitals in the country. Addressing the needs of local communities is our core competency and we connect with local partners that share the same value system.
We also fund wellness initiatives for Medical Residents due to burnout, addiction, and mental health challenges.
